Three Spring Performances, May/June 2009

"an innovative and entrancing blend of acoustic looseness, natural sound, digital processing, live art and deep listening" is what it says on the publicity ... working with what is becoming my regular group of vocal and instrumental collaborators, I have devised three site-specific performances in south-east Cumbria. two have taken place already; the last one is on Wednesday 17 June at 7.30pm at St. Gregory's Church, on the A684 near Sedbergh. go to this page for full details and video of the first performance!

Duophonic, Friday 31 July 2009

back once more! - groovy, wide-ranging, well-mixed, something-for-everyone DJing in a nice bar in Sedbergh, with me and special guest Nisha Pannu (who people will know from Eclectic in Kendal - she and Rob ran the place - as well as her DJing in Barrow and Lancaster and at Solfest). go to this page for full details and a setlist of a previous night, and go to my Eclectic DJs blog for a new downloadable 75-minute mix of the sort of stuff you're likely to hear there.

list of available DJ mixes

I've dug through the archive and have a list of the mixes I've done in the last few years which are now available to be sent to people on CD - just ask! go to this page for the list.

new studio piece available

all this work on performances has been making me think about the music I'm making and I've started making stuff to stand on its own. go to this page for 'K197', which is about 10 minutes of lush piano-based slowness.

'Each Pebble Its Part' prints for sale

I have finally found a decent long-life paper on which to print the well-received images from the 'Each Pebble Its Part' installation, and I am selling high-resolution prints for a very reasonable price. go to this page for full details.
